The money tree stump is a single thick trunk topped with fresh, hand-shaped leaves, for a sculptural, bonsai-like look. It's the same easygoing money tree people love, and it's safe around cats and dogs.

- Water: let the top couple of inches of soil dry between waterings. Don't let it sit in water.

Common questions
Is it safe for cats and dogs?
Yes. The ASPCA lists the money tree (Pachira aquatica) as non-toxic to cats and dogs. A pet that eats a lot of any plant may get a mild upset stomach, but it won't be poisoned.
Why are the leaves turning yellow?
Usually too much water. Let the soil dry out more between waterings and make sure the pot drains.
