Are all of your plants safe for cats and dogs?
Yes. Every plant we sell is listed as non-toxic to both cats and dogs on the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center plant lists. If a plant is on the toxic list for either one, we don't carry it. Non-toxic doesn't mean edible: a pet that eats a lot of any plant can get a mild upset stomach, but it won't be poisoned. How we check
Is shipping really free?
Yes, shipping is free on every order to the contiguous United States. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days and arrive 2 to 4 business days later, with tracking. During extreme heat or cold we may hold an order for a few days so your plant doesn't arrive damaged, and we'll email you if we do. Shipping details
What if my plant arrives damaged?
Email support@rootandreachbotanicals.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos, and we'll send a replacement or a refund. If your plant declines within 30 days despite proper care, our plant health guarantee covers that too. Guarantee details
Which pet-safe plants are easiest for beginners?

Which popular houseplants are toxic to pets?
Pothos, snake plant, ZZ plant, monstera, philodendron, peace lily, fiddle leaf fig and sago palm are all listed as toxic by the ASPCA, and true lilies are especially dangerous to cats. We don't sell any of them. See the full list
What should I do if my pet eats a plant?
If it's one of our plants, it isn't toxic, so watch for mild stomach upset and call your vet if it lasts. If you aren't sure what the plant is, call your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 right away (a fee may apply). Look up a plant
