Ripple Red peperomia has deeply rippled, burgundy leaves that shine under light, on a compact, bushy plant. In warmer months it sends up thin, cream flower spikes. It's easy to grow and safe around cats and dogs.

How to care for it
- Light: bright to medium, indirect light keeps the burgundy color rich. Avoid harsh afternoon sun.
- Water: let the top inch or two of soil dry out, then water thoroughly. The thick leaves store water, so it forgives a missed watering.
- Soil: a light, well-draining mix in a pot with a drainage hole.
- Humidity: normal home humidity is fine.
- Temperature: 65 to 80°F, away from cold drafts.
Common questions
Is it safe for cats and dogs?
Yes. The ASPCA lists ripple peperomia (Peperomia caperata) as non-toxic to cats and dogs. A pet that eats a lot of any plant may get a mild upset stomach, but it won't be poisoned.
Why are the leaves drooping or turning yellow?
Almost always too much water. Peperomia leaves store water, so let the soil dry out more between waterings and make sure the pot drains.
Can it grow in low light?
It tolerates medium light, but it stays fuller and more colorful in bright, indirect light.
Ships in its nursery pot. Decorative pots in the photos are not included.

I reached out to Nikki, and she was so quick to respond to my questions and helped me pick out plants that would be best suited for my lifestyle and space! I ended up ordering the red ripple peperomia, a money tree, and a parlor palm. All arrived in excellent condition. I will be a returning customer! :)
