Peperomia Hope has small, round, succulent-like leaves that grow in little clusters along trailing stems. It looks great spilling from a hanging pot or shelf, needs very little care, and is safe around cats and dogs.

How to care for it
- Light: bright to medium, indirect light. Avoid harsh afternoon sun.
- Water: let the top inch or two of soil dry out, then water thoroughly. The thick leaves store water, so it forgives a missed watering.
- Soil: a light, well-draining mix in a pot with a drainage hole.
- Humidity: normal home humidity is fine.
- Growth: trim long stems to keep it full. Cuttings root easily.

Yes. The ASPCA lists the common houseplant peperomias as non-toxic to cats and dogs, and no peperomia appears on its toxic list. A pet that eats a lot of any plant may get a mild upset stomach, but it won't be poisoned.
Is it a succulent?
No, it's a peperomia, but its thick leaves store water like a succulent, so it's very forgiving if you forget to water.
Why are the leaves drooping or turning yellow?
Almost always too much water. Let the soil dry out more between waterings and make sure the pot drains.
